Richard Parker: MN ATV Safety Instructor of the Year
Last week the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced its 2008 ATV Safety Training Instructor of the Year. This year's recipient of the statewide award is Richard "Dick" Parker of Grand Marais. Parker received his award before the youth ATV safety field testing at the old airfield at Devil Track Lake on Saturday, May 16. Full Story

The Arbor Day Foundation's recently updated Conservation Trees booklet is now available for a $3 donation to the nonprofit tree-planting organization. The booklet is designed to help people plant and care for trees, and features illustrations, colorful photos and easy-to-follow text. Full Story
