Staff photo/Rhonda Silence After a long hike to an area lake on August 23, News- Herald Editor Rhonda Silence was rewarded with the sight of this huge swan. The swan honked gently a few times and then took off, displaying its massive wing span. Local birder Molly Hoffman believes the bird could be a Trumpeter Swan, a relatively rare sight in Northeastern Minnesota. Full Story
