Our Trip to St. Paul Humboldt
Thispast Friday, our football team made the long trip to Saint Paul to take on the Humboldt Hawks. Humboldt is one of six Saint Paul public high schools that compete in the St. Paul City Conference. TheHawks have a brand new artificial turf football field and a beautiful complex for their football team to call home. Full Story

Big challenge for Vikings in St. Paul
The Cook County Vikings football team found itself with a hole in its schedule due to Nashwauk Keewatin dropping its football program and combining with Greenway, so Vikings Head Coach Mitch Dorr went on a search to fill the hole. His search ultimately sent Cook County down the road to St. Paul where the Vikings played the St. Paul Humboldt Hawks, on Friday, September 11. Full Story
Fins and Feathers
The leaves are just starting to show some real color up the Trail. I have not been able to fish nearly as much as I am accustomed to lately and it is starting to wear on me. That will change this week however and not a moment too soon. Full Story
Where are the fish biting?
By all reports, fishing has been good this week. Crescent Lake in Lutsen is a favorite spot for bass, hitting at three to ten feet. One fisherman said they are "literally all over the place." Walleyes are also biting on Crescent, but they are harder to find. Full Story
Sportsmen gather at Harbor Light

In addition to dinner and updates on RGS activities, there were traditional gun raffles.
