New Beginnings

Mindy Lynn Mair and Richard Paul Tavernier were married August 8, 2009 on the beach of the Mississippi River at Treasure Island Casino near Red Wing, Minnesota.

Her parents are Kathy and Terry Goodwin of Blue Earth and the late Larry Mair. His parents are Marc and Kaye Tavernier of Grand Marais.

The bride chose her sisters, Danielle Mair and Nicole Meyers, as her matrons of honor. The groom chose long time friends, Brian Fairbanks and Jacobs Hammond as best men. Groomsmen included Mitch and Brad Tavernier, brothers of the groom, Cory Pederson, Troy Berneking, and Trevor Berneking, friends of the groom. Bridesmaids included high school and college friends of the bride.

Flower girls were MacKenzie Fairbanks, friend of the groom, and Lila Johhanson, niece of the bride. Parker Meyers, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

The bride graduated from University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and has also earned a master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. She is a middle school math teacher and coach in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

The groom graduated from University of Minnesota

Duluth, and is finishing his

master’s degree at St. Mary’s University. He is a social studies teacher and coach in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

Thecouple will soon move into their newly purchased home in Hastings, Minnesota.
