Reminder for letters: Letters to the editor, columns, and cartoons are all the opinions of the contributors
and not necessarily the Cook County News-Herald. While we encourage readers
to submit letters to the editor on issues they feel strongly about, we ask that
letters include name, address, and phone number. The Cook County News-Herald may withhold a name to protect a letter writer, but will never run a letter
without knowing the identity of the author. Anonymous submissions or letters of
questionable credibility will not be published or acknowledged.
The Cook County News-Herald also asks that letters be no longer than 350 words,
however at the editor’s discretion, longer submissions may be published. All
letters are subject to editing for length, clarity, and libelous content.
Friendly collaboration makes festive city
I want to acknowledge and give a warm thank you to everyone involved in decorating downtown Grand Marais for “A North Shore Holiday.” The friendly collaboration between the downtown business owners, city staff, Grand Marais Area Tourism Association, and the city council has resulted in making our town more beautiful, more festive and more welcoming.
