and not necessarily the Cook County News-Herald. While we encourage readers
to submit letters to the editor on issues they feel strongly about, we ask that
letters include name, address, and phone number. The Cook County News-Herald may withhold a name to protect a letter writer, but will never run a letter
without knowing the identity of the author. Anonymous submissions or letters of
questionable credibility will not be published or acknowledged.
The Cook County News-Herald also asks that letters be no longer than 350 words,
however at the editor’s discretion, longer submissions may be published. All
letters are subject to editing for length, clarity, and libelous content.
Common sense needed in county
In the matter of the Cook County septic tank meetings regarding the new proposed regulations, it is very distressing to hear of more ridiculous restrictions put on the people of this county. To have officials making the asinine statement of pumping tanks every two or three years regardless of use is just that, asinine. Full Story
