 First it rained, then it snowed in Grand Marais Sunday, January 24, 2010, after a weekend of thawing temperatures. Overall, precipitation for the winter has not been significant, with snowmobilers and skiers waiting week after week for more snow. The rain and melting snow were enough, however, to flood the municipal parking lot on Broadway Avenue. The water was about two feet high in places. Staff /Brian Larsen
