Lots of write-in votes in Schroeder election
The Schroeder Township 2010 annual meeting lasted until well after 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, but the 25 residents in attendance got a lot done with little dissension. Cook County may soon be earning a bigger spot on the recreational map. With the county’s tourist businesses scrambling for a decade to keep up with the cost of doing business, Cook County’s six tourism associations have decided to pool their resources in an effort to get ahead of the game. Busy Tofte annual meeting at Birch Grove
Birch Grove Community Center was the site of the 2010 Town of Tofte annual meeting held Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Tofte Supervisor Paul James was selected to moderate the approximately 25 people who spent 2½ hours listening to department reports, discussing the town’s proposed 2011 budget line-by-line and sometimes arguing over a variety of new proposals.
