Reminder for letters: Letters to the editor, columns, and cartoons are all the opinions of the contributors
and not necessarily the Cook County News-Herald. While we encourage readers
to submit letters to the editor on issues they feel strongly about, we ask that
letters include name, address, and phone number. The Cook County News-Herald may withhold a name to protect a letter writer, but will never run a letter
without knowing the identity of the author. Anonymous submissions or letters of
questionable credibility will not be published or acknowledged.
The Cook County News-Herald also asks that letters be no longer than 350 words,
however at the editor’s discretion, longer submissions may be published. All
letters are subject to editing for length, clarity, and libelous content.
Religious people turn off their thinking caps
We have read the Jensen-Gamble debate with peaked interest. We commend both parties for their heartfelt responses. We have always struggled with the question, “How can intelligent people be religious?”

Without God’s presence value seen in every day

Though Garry Gamble may aspire to show “respect for scientific methods of discovery,” he was distracted by my speculative remark instead of looking to the conclusions of Professor Uffe Schjoedt’s research study. Do focus on the study. Full Story
