Drizzle doesn’t dampen Boat Show attendance
It’s hard to count the number of visitors to the North House Folk School campus during the Wooden Boat Show and Summer Solstice Pageant because people come and go—they come to look at the beautiful wooden boats on display. Pulse Broadband breaks connection
Arrowhead Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AECI) Manager Don Stead dropped a bombshell at the cooperative’s annual meeting on Saturday, June 19. For months, AECI has been working with Pulse Broadband to bring internet, telephone, and television services to Cook County. The two entities jointly applied for a stimulus grant from the Rural Utilities Service (RUS). Full Story

Inadvertent Open Meeting Law violation by EDA
Members of the Cook County– Grand Marais Economic Development Authority (EDA) may have inadvertently violated Minnesota’s Open Meeting law when four of the seven EDA board members attended the Cook County commissioners' meeting on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 to discuss the future of Superior National at Lutsen golf course.
