Lt. Governor candidate Gunyou visits Grand Marais
John Gunyou, running mate of gubernatorial candidate Speaker of the House Margaret Anderson-Kelliher, visited Grand Marais last week, with a different mission than other politicians on the campaign trail. Cook County Community Fund awards $7,100 in annual grants
The Cook County Community Fund, an affiliate fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, has granted more than $7,000 to non-profit organizations in Cook County for 2010. Spirit of the Wilderness celebrates becoming official Episcopal mission
TheMaple Hill Church was filled with sunshine, music, and about 50 happy faces on June 27, 2010 as the Spirit of the Wilderness Episcopal Church officially became a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota, its first mission in over 20 years. This is the first Episcopal church ever in Cook County, leaving only one other county in Minnesota without one. Full Story
