Nordic season comes to a close
The Cook County Nordic Vikings' season came to an end last Thursday at the Section 7 State Qualifier Meet held at Giants Ridge. Seven varsity skiers worked hard in the two-part pursuit race and were disappointed that no Vikings advanced to the state meet.
The pursuit race was a combination of a 5k skate and a 5k classic for both boys and girls. Full Story
Vikings record 16th win against Floodwood
Junior guard Kale Boomer had his best game of the season, scoring 19 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists to lead the Vikings to their 16th win on Friday, February 9 at Floodwood.
In a see-saw battle, the Vikings won 63-50. Full Story
Much-loved Viking girls’ basketball Head Coach Thomas “T.J.” Super received his 100th win when his team defeated the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers 74-27 on Thursday, February 9 at home.
Super has been coaching the Vikings the last six seasons and has averaged about 17 wins per season. Full Story
