Minnesota awarded grant to help with bat research
Minnesota was one of 30 states that will share a $1,276,088 grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) for the white-nose syndrome project. The state was awarded $17,096, which will be used by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to support research, monitor bat populations and detect and respond to white-nose syndrome (WNS) affecting bats. Headlight use law explained
There has been some confusion about state law and headlight use, and Sgt. Neil Dickenson of the Minnesota State Patrol provided some information about that.
Dickenson said Minnesota does have a law requiring drivers to have their headlights on, however, windshield wipers being on alone does not require headlights to be activated. Full Story
