Paintings will be preserved

To family and friends of Cook County:

Our family is very touched that everyone is concerned about the painting of the boat that our father Lyle Saethre painted that has been covered up by a new business in Grand Marais.

We want to assure everyone that we had been contacted by the owner of the business that the painting is hanging on. She has been very considerate of our family in finding a solution. The paintings are both on boards that are attached to the building so relocating them will not be a problem if that is what is decided upon.
