Need help with your taxes?

Cook County Taxes VITA provides free tax service to all low to moderate income Cook County residents, seniors 60+ and international students working in our county. January 31 to April 20, 2017. Birch Grove Community Center, Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cook County Community Center, Tuesdays, 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Grand Portage Community Center, Wednesdays, 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Grand Portage Post Office, Weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Ruby’s Pantry is a food distribution program held 5 - 6:30 p.m., every second Tuesday. Parking at Sawtooth Elementary. $20 (cash only) per share. Buy more shares as you want. No financial qualifications. Bring a laundry basket and cooler to bring home frozen items. Sponsored by Spirit of the Wilderness Church. Volunteers always needed. $20 gift certificates have been donated to help those short on cash – just ask cashier. Donations always welcome to help your neighbor PO Box 5, Grand Marais.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on Tuesday, April 4 at Cook County Whole Foods Co-op, 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. Mondays: Open Meeting, 7 p.m., Grand Marais Senior Center (1st Monday of the month is desserts and coffee at 6:30 p.m. and speaker at 7 p.m.).

Tuesday: AA Big Book Meeting at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Thursdays: 6:30 p.m., open meeting & discussion at the Lutsen fire hall meeting room.

Thursdays: Women’s Meeting, noon, First Congregational Church in Grand Marais; Big Book Study Group, 7 p.m., Senior Center in Grand Marais; 7 p.m. in room 232, Grand Portage Lodge in Grand Portage.

Lutsen Township Monthly Meetings

Schroeder Town Meetings
