Jeanne Anderson submitted her resignation from the Cook County Independent School District (I.S.D.) 166 school board on October 27.

“I have served on the ISD 166 school board for seven years and it is time for me to step down for personal reasons,” said Anderson.

Anderson has represented District 5 in the west end of the county.

That area covers Lutsen, Tofte, Schroeder, and the Pike Lake area.

She served as school board chair for a number of years and on numerous committees representing the school board during her tenure.

The school is now accepting applications to fill the remainder of Anderson’s vacant seat.

Anderson’s term runs out December 31, 2018.
