Taco Tuesday Fundraiser Luncheon December 12, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

We are raising money for our dear friend & co-worker, Jennifer Rue, who is dealing with long term medical expenses related to cancer. Everyone is welcome to join us for a taco bar lunch break, raffle, and silent auction. Lunch is a suggested donation of $10, and all proceeds go to Jennifer. Half the raffle proceeds go to Jen, and half go to the winner. Tickets are $1, or get 6 tickets for $5. Tickets will be available at the luncheon. Northwoods Fiber Guild Holiday Open House and Sale

The Northwoods Fiber Guild holiday open house and sale will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grand Marais Art Colony, 120 3rd Ave. West, Grand Marais. High quality, hand-made clothing, and gifts for sale; fiber art demonstrations; make a felted finger puppet at the Hands-On Table. Refreshments served.

Ruby’s Pantry

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry, 2nd Tuesday of the month food distribution 5 - 6:30 p.m., $20 (cash only) Sponsored by Spirit of the Wilderness Church. You will be amazed at al the food you get at the High School. No financial or other qualifications— this is surplus food for all!

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on Tuesday, Dec. 5, Cook County Whole Foods Co-op from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
