At the next Garden Club meeting, Cook County Master Gardener Sally Berg will be speaking with us about how to create small pollinator gardens in our yards, also known as “Pocket Plantings.” We all know how important pollinators are and now we’ll have a chance to learn how we can invite them into our own growing spaces, even if that space is quite limited. Attendees will receive a short handout with pertinent information that they can take home and utilize in planning their own special spot for pollinators. With fall approaching, this is the perfect time to assess your yard and start making plans for next year! After our meeting, we are hoping to be able to tour a local garden which is located a short distance from the Memorial Rose Garden.
