TIMOTHY REING

TIMOTHY REING

Timothy William Reing was called home on August 31st after a courageous fight with cancer, his family was by his side. He was born on November 22, 1960 in Cook Minnesota to Mary Joan and Lloyd Reing. Tim was affectionately known as Dudley to his friends and family. Many of his co-workers did not even know his real name. Dudley was raised in Cook with his two older brothers. He graduated from Cook High School in 1980, and continued his schooling at the Eveleth Technical College earning his welding certifications. He married the love of his life, Lois Rutchasky on November 28, 1981. They made a life in Angora raising two sons Jerry and Steven. Dudley worked at Hill Wood Products for over 40 years finally retiring in 2021.
Dudley was the life of the party. He was kind, compassionate, and always willing to help others. He loved to travel and meet new people. He loved his fishing trips to Loon Lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at the Log Cabin socializing and driving the backroads on his side by side. Woodworking was a passion that he really enjoyed. He made many pieces of furniture for family and friends. His personality and humor are what people remember. Dudley had a daily telephone list of his friends and family. He especially loved his family and friends enjoying the time spent with them. He always looked forward to hunting season and his special group at deer camp. He preferred to shoot the breeze more than shooting any deer. He spent more time talking, sleeping in, and drinking coffee than sitting in the deer stand. Restoring and working on his 1931 and 1941 Chevrolet classic cars were also a past time he liked, passing this onto his sons.
There are too many stories that you could tell about Dudley to list. His advice and comic relief were delivered in a way that only he could. He had a special way with people; he was always just genuinely Dudley.
Dudley is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years, Lois Reing: his sons Jerry and Steven Reing: his brother Daniel (Nancy) Reing who he was very close to: his nephews Danny (Ivette) Reing and Josh (Jill) Rutchasky: nieces Mackenzie Reing (Nick), Jenny (Matt) Rae, and Jolene Gitzlaff: he also has numerous great nieces and nephews: brother in law Ronnie Rutchasky, sister in law Pauline Rutchasky, and father in law Bill Rutchasky.
