SJOBERG, Alan J. “Leroy” – of Henderson, died Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his residence. He was 76 yeas of age.

Leroy was born December 21, 1947, in Grand Marais, MN to the late John and Marybelle (Mollison) Sjoberg. He was a 1964 graduate of Grand Marais High School. He lived in the Chesaning area most of his life. He was united in marriage to Amy Hemgesberg on January 31, 2014. Mr. Sjoberg was a self-employed truck driver for over 50 years. He was a life member of Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association. He enjoyed golfing, socializing and being surrounded by his friends.

He is survived by: his wife, Amy; son, Alan (Tabitha) Sjoberg of Oakley; daughter, Linda (Michael) Pierce of Ovid; step sons, John Hemgesberg of New Lothrop and Mitchell Hemgesberg of Jackson; grandchildren: Rebecca (Leonardo) Maniaci, Alan Sjoberg, James Pierce and Jessica Pierce; 2 great grandchildren, Luna Sjoberg and Stella Sjoberg; siblings: Ann Curtis, Billy Sjoberg, Jean (Dean) Gulden, Carline (Pete) Gresczyk, all of MN, Kate (Jim) Wicklund of WI, Margaret (Kurt) Helin of WI, Becky (Kelly) Baumann of MN, Tommy (Keeci) Sjoberg of WI; many nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Zander Sjoberg.

A Celebration of his life was held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 1-7 pm at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning.
