North Shore Health discusses strategic plans, including third party reviews

Petition to remove North Shore Health hospital administrator ends

Brian Larsen The petition from Citizens Concerned for Cook County Healthcare calling for the hospital board of directors to remove Kimber Wraalstad as administrator of North Shore Health ended with 750 signatures after the hospital board called for a special meeting to consider litigation for defamatory statements made against the hospital. After closing the petition, a message was sent online stating, “To the Supporters of This Petition, The North Shore Board of Health has publicly announced a special board meeting on December 5, during which a closed session will be held to discuss their options for litigation.

Northland Foundation announces Canadian Border Counties Economic Relief Program

Grants up to $50,000 offered to businesses in counties bordering Canada that lost 10% or more in revenues between 2019 and 2021 due to border and BWCAW closures Grants up to $50,000 each are being made available to businesses located in counties bordering Canada. For-profit businesses that lost 10 percent or more in revenues during the closure of the Canadian border since 2020 and/or the 2021 closure of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will be eligible.

Minnesota DNR shares reminders about the upcoming snowmobile riding season

As the snowmobile riding season draws near, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds riders of important dates, safety tips and registration requirements.
