Unplugged Returns Sept. 19-20 with a Free Community Concert and Other Big Changes

For more than 20 years, the arrival of a tent on the North House campus has heralded the arrival of fall along the North Shore. Started through a chance meeting between North House’s Executive Director Greg Wright and acclaimed songwriter John Vezner, this event has had many iterations over the last two decades, bringing tens of thousands of guests to Cook County to enjoy incredible musical performances and raise funds for the folk school.

Pasta is a female ginger cat which is unusual in the cat world. She’s 1 year old, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She was unhappy in her prior home, possibly because of two other cats. She’s fearful at first but warms up and is a friendly, loving gal. Commissioners hold special meeting to set a PHHS contract

The Cook County Commissioners convened a special meeting on Wednesday, September 3. The primary agenda was to establish a contract for the clinical supervision of the Public Health and Human Services department. Additionally, the meeting aimed to finalize a construction manager contract with Johnson Wilson Constructors for the Cook County Law Enforcement Center addition and remodel.
