The City of Grand Marais is working with an engineering company to complete a water service line inventory that involves inspections at homes and businesses in town. Staff from AE2S will begin knocking on doors in Grand Marais the week of August 25 and will continue through the end of September.

Northland Constructors poured the deck for the Spruce Creek Bridge on Friday the 15th. The deck pour was completed the same day and it went very well. The next steps in the construction and completion of this project are back filling the abutments for the new bridge structure, some minor road work and the installation of the timber railings.
August 19, 2025 - The Cook County Historical Society is celebrating its 100th Anniversary by creating a cookbook which will capture the unique culinary heritage of Cook County and Grand Portage. The book will feature a blend of historical and modern recipes and archival photos. To ensure it truly represents the community, food traditions, and stories, we are collecting recipes from you, our community members, and local restaurants.
