David Eisenberger, age 81, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Hendricks Community Hospital in Hendricks, Minnesota. Memorial Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Grand Marais Evangelical Free Church in Grand Marais, Minnesota. A reception will follow at the church. Private interment took place in the Russell Cemetery, Russell, Minnesota.
Nancy Nelms Leonard, 66, died Saturday, August 10, of pancreatic cancer. Nancy was born July 16, 1958, in Grand Marais, where she spent most of her life.
Jean Rew (Yaeger) Ljungkull passed away on August 7, 2024 at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gunnar Rolf Ljungkull; parents, Christine and Edward Yaeger; son, Jon Ljungkull; and sister, Lysbeth Ann Toribio.

Lynn Anne Christensen, 45, passed away unexpected on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Lynn was born April 22, 1979 in Grand Marais, MN to Jon and Shirley Heinzen.
Roy Rasmussen, of Sedona, AZ, formerly of Grand Marais, passed away on May 28, 2024 after a brief illness. He was 81 years old. Roy was a long-time teacher at Sawtooth Elementary School and coach for Cook County High School. He was considered family to many of his former students remaining a mentor and life long friend. “Mr. R” would often be seen participating in gym class and recess activities with students and would occasionally run a bit beyond his scheduled time. Roy was known for his love of soccer, cross country, track, four square, a great one liner, Frank Sinatra and international travel. He also had a passion for the financial investment world. In addition, he loved the outdoor activities of canoeing, fishing, downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing in Cook County and hiking the Red Rock trails around Sedona. He and Margaret were great supporters of the Grand Marais Playhouse. Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. He will be missed dearly by close friends and family including Ingie Osthus, his high school exchange student daughter from Verdal, Norway.

Linnell, Sr., (82) beloved father of 4 and grandfather of 9, bonus father of 3 and grandfather of 7, and a longtime resident of Maryland and Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Jane, by his side on July 20, 2024, from complications due to Parkinson’s.
