On Thursday, August 15, State Representative Roger Skraba, R-Ely, announced that six nursing homes in the Northland have received a second round of direct payments totaling $1,190,529 million to be used to address outstanding debts and facility improvements. It is part of a statewide nursing home package totaling $300 million, championed by House Republicans and approved on an overwhelming bipartisan basis during the 2023 legislative session.
Grand Marais is a dog-friendly place. Corky, The Wonder Beagle (mix), goes with me wherever he is welcome.
