I was recently in a pinch. I left my socks at home and needed a pair to get me through the day. As luck would have it, I happened by Target, ducked in, and found many socks to choose from. The colors were adequate. The cotton/ poly blend was acceptable. The price was reasonable. One thing did stick out. These socks were “One Size Fits All”.

'It could have been worse', is meant to sound positive. When I slid over the center line of icy highway 61, across the oncoming traffic lane, and into the ditch where my car was abruptly totaled by a sturdy birch tree, it could have been worse if oncoming traffic, if the ditch was deep enough to roll the car on top of me, if the rib crushing seat belt and air bags had failed, or if no one had noticed my dilemma.

Moving on

Home again “Home again, home again, Jiggity Jog.” Yup, I’m back home and happy to be here. After a month away, it was frustrating to return to snow, but that’s nearly gone—at least for the moment.
