The Vikings volleyball team has played a rigorous schedule this season. On September 26, the girls squared off against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida and swept them 3-0. The games weren't close, with the Vikings winning 25-13, 25-1, 25-7.

Behind a stout offense and stingy defense, the Cook County Vikings football team traveled to Blackduck last Friday and beat the home team 33-6. The Vikings scored 13 points in the first quarter and six points in the second.
North Shore Storm runs well at the Sept. 26 Hibbing Rotary Invitational
On a warm day for running, the North Shore Storm boys' cross country team placed 11th out of 24 teams at the Hibbing Rotary Invitational over 5,000 meters on grass. Brenden Sylveste, a junior from Grand Rapids, won with a time of 16:34.
