BRIAN LARSEN CCHS 2023 graduate Katie Peck was named Minnesota College Athletic (MCAC) Conference North Division Softball Position Player of the Week for April 22-28. Katie is a catcher/pitcher for the Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range women's fast-pitch softball team.
BRIAN LARSEN Following the Vikings varsity baseball game against the South Ridge Panthers on Tuesday, April 23rd, the Vikings Junior Varsity baseball team squared off against the Panther's Junior Varsity in a three-innings game. The Vikings took a two-nothing lead after the first inning of play, and both teams put four runs on the board in the second.

The Cook County girls’ fast-pitch softball team opened the season to cheers and excitement from a lively crowd who watched the Vikings battle the Two Harbors Agates in a doubleheader. Game 1 was exciting, with the teams tied at 8-8 in the fourth.
The Grand Marais Rec Park board met on Tuesday, April 9, in the Cook County Commissioner’s room. Kicking off the meeting, Gunflint Hills Golf Course Manager Paul Jones gave the Gunflint Hill’s Golf Course report.
