After-School Junior Pickleball Camp coming in May

This spring, boys and girls in grades 3, 4 and 5 will have an opportunity to participate in a two week (8 day) after-school Junior Pickleball Camp sponsored by the Cook County Tennis and Pickleball Association. This afterschool program will allow students to learn the game, develop and improve their skills, play the game, learn good sportsmanship and team play, and have a great time with their peers. Participants will enjoy a safe, healthful activity and a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.

Anglers will find these and other changes in the 2024 fishing regulations booklet

Anglers will have new opportunities to claim the glory of catching a Minnesota state record fish. Starting March 1, anglers can earn catchand- release records for 18 species beyond the four current species that are recognized, a change the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is making in response to the increasing popularity of catch-and-release fishing and to raise the profile of native rough fish.

All Things Skiing

The 2024 Cook County Nordic Ski Team's season culminated with three weeks of exciting skiing not just for our high school team, but also Minnesota and the U.S. Following our team's determined skiing (and cheering) at Sections in early February, the skiing roared forward with an unbeatable trio combination - the MN Nordic State Meet at Giant's Ridge, then two days of World Cup Nordic skiing in Minneapolis, and finally three days of the American Birkebeiner event in Cable, WI. Members of our Cross Country Ski team were present at all three!
