Staff photos by Brian Larsen Evan, a physics major at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) campus, and Kat, who was making buttons and hopes to earn a PhD in English to teach college, were among a handful of UMD students who presented a Skywatch program at North House Folk School last Thursday. Despite the cloudy weather, the event was a success, featuring many interactive and family-friendly activities indoors that taught about the stars, planets, and our night sky. To further your knowledge about our night skies, don’t miss the opportunity to attend the free shows at UMD’s Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium in Duluth held Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Call for times.
