Last week, the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hat Point Marina and Ferry Terminal project. A $3.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, $2 million in local funds, and a grant from the Ferry Boat Program through the Federal Highway Administration will fund the work.
