In spite of the Saturday, January 6, snowstorm, 15 brave souls showed up to remember January 6 and stand up for democracy, working for peace in the word, and getting out the vote. George Washington at Valley Forge called it a “sacred cause” to defend democracy and freedom. Said Denny Fitzpatrick, “We received many supportive honks from passing cars. It was an uplifting and energizing gathering.”The event happened from noon to 1 p.m. during the first real snow of the year. Photos courtesy of Maryl Skinner
