It's been a scramble and a lot of hard work to maintain the Grand Marais Municipal Liquor Store's hours of operation while moving products and contents to its new, temporary location at the Beaver House just down the street. However, on April 2, 2024, the first sale was made to the owner of the Beaver House, Tyson Cronberg, with Grand Marais Liquor Store operations manager Chris LaVigne making the sale. Plans are to lease the Beaver House space from Tyson for the next ten months while the new city hall and liquor store are built on much the same footprint as the buildings that are now vacated and waiting to be torn down and removed.
