Land is being cleared in Creechville for the Switchback Village, a 51-unit multi-family apartment building. This is just one of several housing projects that will be built in Cook County this year. The Heights will offer 36 apartment units about one mile west of town, and not far from there, a 16-unit workforce apartment building is proposed to be built in front of the city's public works building. In Tofte, homes will be built above the Birchgrove Community Center, and a $10 million grant will allow for the repair of the Birchwood apartments.
