Grand Marais Lions Club President Pete Kavanaugh read the winners' names of the top three drawings to a hopeful crowd of onlookers who were on the edge of their seats, hoping their names would be picked for one of those slots. However, no one in the crowd was named. That said, Mike Bash had his ticket pulled from the bin by Annabell Silence for the $10,000 cash prize. Next, Daryl Bathke, working at the Whole Foods Co-op during the drawing, had his ticket pulled for the $1,0000 cash prize. And finally, Shelby Day was named the winner of the $500 prize. In all, merchants and individuals donated 76 prizes this year, making it an event filled with excitement and anticipation.
