Most folks living on Croftville Road were upset when MnDOT raised the speed limit from 20 to 30 mph. Even though it is illegal, someone took the time to bring a ladder and spray paint over the new speed limit. The road is narrow and windy, and in places, you have to pull over to let a vehicle by because two vehicles can't always fit. The 1.5-mile-long road is a favorite spot for people to walk, jog, and bike. Traffic often moves along between 5 and 15 mph. Staff photo Brian Larsen
