Tim Pratt Meet Abby, a miniature shiatzu who stands in at 0 ft. 4 inches tall and tips the scales at a robust 17 pounds when she's carrying a 16-pound rock. Able to leap incredible heights to let you know she's there, this cozy, cuddly creature churns cheer from the most cromudgeonous characters, calling for a considerable consideration of corsets and caresses. Resembling a dust-bunny with legs, she circles your ankles, finds your lap, and doesn't rest easy until her chin is upon your knee or she has somehow managed to nuzzle her entire head under your unsuspecting hand. There is nothing like suddenly realizing there is a small, full-grown dog, the size of a bird, who has nestled into a nesty nest made entirely of you. Cozy, warm, and appreciative, she is as content as can be, and, to her, all is well with the world when she is wrapped up in the ones she loves. Whenever her owners, Ron Lund and Rena Carlson, have to go somewhere, Abby lets them because she can get just as many snuggles in the car as she can at home! She makes everyone who meets her feel special because she is so excited to see them. Always. And for that, Abby is this week's Pet of the Week.
