The aurora on display last weekend was the strongest in 20 years. David Johnson went out at 9:30 p.m. on Friday and quit at 5 a.m. on Saturday. 'I took over 4500 photos.' Shooting pictures from the scenic overlook, David said, 'The aurora made a dome over Grand Marais. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and next, I went to town to finish off the night; there was another dome type of display, so cool, I was not disappointed.' Photo courtesy of David Johnson
