Recently, a Western-painted turtle visited the Schulberg pond, marking the first time the Schulbergs have ever seen this species on their property. This year, Cook County is proving to be a diverse haven for turtles, with many sightings reported across the area of turtles of all sizes and shapes, each one a unique and exciting discovery.
