Work on the 36-unit apartment building“The Heights,”located off of Highway 61 about one mile west of Grand Marais, is progressing as planned for a fall opening. Last week, the crawl space excavation was completed and the foundation is on schedule; form boards have been laid out, and concrete footers are nearly complete for the entire site. At this rate, the foundation footers and walls are expected to be completed ahead of schedule. This week, the utility lines were installed. Dynamic Homes is building the“modules,”and the first two units have already come off the production line. Another unit finishes almost every day. With housing in sort supply, it’s great to see this project on track, especially before the arrival of winter.
