North Shore Health Director CEO Kimber Wraalstad reports that North Shore Health has been chosen as a Critical Access Nursing Facility. The new designation approved NSH a rate increase of $15.26 per resident per day starting November 1, 2023.

Governor Walz appoints Steve Hanke to fill the Sixth Judicial District Vacancy
On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan today announced the appointment of Steve Hanke as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District. Hanke will be replacing the Honorable Michael J. Cuzzo and will be chambered in Two Harbors in Lake County and Grand Marais in Cook County.
