After closing the petition, a message was sent online stating, “To the Supporters of This Petition, The North Shore Board of Health has publicly announced a special board meeting on December 5, during which a closed session will be held to discuss their options for litigation.

It is with heavy hearts, we share that Deborah “Deb” Ann (Ziesmer) Nied, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Her body failed but her heart and spirit remained strong until the end. She was born October 24, 1953 in Braham, MN. She resided in Grand Marais, MN and St. Cloud, MN. In her later retirement years, she divided her time between Big Lake, MN and Reno, NV.
Elliott Melvin Olson age 84, of Clermont, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2023. He was born on July 7, 1939, to Richard and Rose (Guyer) Olson who preceded him in death along with his brother-in-law Richard Meyer.
