Meet Judge Steven Hanke

Sixth Judicial District Chief District Judge Leslie E. Baiers performed the Swearing-in Ceremony for governor-appointed judge Steven B. Hanke on February 2 at the Lake County Courthouse at 9:30 a.m. Following the swearing- in ceremony, Judge Hanke traveled with his wife, Chelsea, to Grand Marais to meet and greet the public at a reception held at the Cook County Courthouse in the commissioner's room.

Conservation Officer Tales

Although the Cook County News-Herald knows that the majority of sportsmen and women are law-abiding folks, there are a few that run afoul of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officers.
