Lower Shore: Duluth to Two Harbors Surface water temperatures near Duluth were in the low 50’s this week thanks to the St. Louis River inputting warmer water. Fishing near Duluth was good for Lake Trout using stick baits in the top 20 feet of the water column, trolling between 2-3 mph. Targeting the edges of the stained water and temperature breaks was the most effective strategy to get on fish.
