Each May the first my great-grandfather would drag the 55-gallon- drummed pontoon diving platform off the grassy shore – by hand - and onto the lake – by rowboat, and anchor it in about eleven feet of water in our little bay. It was about 35 yards out from our dock, which, when I was very small, was an impassable distance.

Public Engagement Period for the Tofte Landscape Project Implementation Cycle 2 begins

The Superior National Forest is beginning the public engagement period for the Tofte Landscape Project’s Implementation Cycle 2. The engagement period runs from today, Monday, July 1 through Friday, August 2, 2024. During this time, interested public can provide input towards finalizing vegetation management treatments for the second implementation cycle.
