Why I WON’T be voting for Kamala

On March 14 of this year, Kamala visited Minnesota. She could have toured a farm, a mine, a taconite plant, or small business. But no, instead she visited an abortion clinic, misnamed as Planned Parenthood. NBC stated proudly that she was likely to be the first vice-president to visit a clinic that performs abortions. Of course, her action was to cement Kamala’s and the Democrat Parity’s dark obsession with the need to terminate the lives of innocent unborn humans.

Writer wants to see the speed limit reduced on the Croftville Road

The article written by Cook County Highway Engineer Robbie Kimmel-Hass in last week's Cook County News Herald is a “gem” that the residents and folks that use the Croftville Road for recreation were waiting for. Superior Hiking Trail, OLD SKI HILL RD TO PINCUSHION TRAILHEAD – AUGUST 7, 2024

On UT 64 (Old Ski Hill Rd), just a couple miles up the Gunflint Trail, the Happy Hikers will begin on the North Shore State Trail. We will shortly leave that trail and head towards Grand Marais with Lake Superior gradually becoming visible. SHT traverses a long, wet area on a boardwalk. As the SHT descends, the lake becomes more visible. The trail comes to views of Lake Superior and then descends steeply. We will cross the Gunflint Trail, go uphill, and eventually join a ski trail. We will continue uphill and will come to dramatic views at Pincushion Mountain Trailhead. Lunch will be at picnic tables at the trailhead. Drivers will be shuttled back to their vehicles.
