The Cook County Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Drive and Fish Fry, held on Wednesday, August 21st, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Visit Cook County Information Center (116 W Hwy 61, Grand Marais), drew a nice crowd. The event was designed to be inclusive, welcoming both Chamber members and those not yet Chamber members to the casual, outdoor gathering. North Superior Fisheries, a brand new member of the Chamber, provided fresh, local fish. A Raffle Drawing was held at 6 p.m. (after the paper's deadline) for an 11'2 Zebrawood All Day Greyduck Paddle Board. Attendees had the exciting opportunity to meet fellow business owners and community members, fostering new connections and learning about the benefits of membership and how the Chamber supports local businesses. All in all, it was a nice event with a welcoming, fun, atmosphere.
