Northern Wilds, a cherished and high-quality, free local monthly magazine that has long been a beacon of the outdoors in northern Minnesota and northern Ontario, has found a new home with Nei-Turner Media Group, a publishing company located near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Dupre to share Arctic film on his YouTube channel
Long-time Cook County News-Herald readers are familiar with the stories and exploits of the dedicated Arctic explorer/adventurer Lonnie Dupre. Several years ago, Lonnie and a group of fellow explorers/filmmakers embarked on a journey to Greenland, retracing some of the steps Lonnie and John Hoelscher took, completing their trip in 2001. They were the first people to circumvent Greenland by dogs and kayaking, a testament to Lonnie's unwavering commitment to Arctic exploration.
