Antique snowmobile fun run held

The yearly Lutsen Trailbreakers antique snowmobile Fun Run, a one-of-akind event, was held at Cascade Lodge on Saturday, February 10, 2025. About thirty sleds, each with its own unique story, were displayed. The daylong event, filled with excitement and camaraderie, featured a short snowmobile ride from the lodge to a T in the Lutsen trail, and then riders turned around and headed back to the lodge. There were a couple of breakdowns and one tow back to the start for one rider, adding a touch of adventure to the day. When it came time to pick the best antique snowmobile, Mike Kimball's 1974 Artic Panther with a CAT-O-Matic transmission, a true gem among the rest, won first place.

Local orchardists and backyard fruit growers are invited to attend a workshop on apple tree pruning in March.
