Following the opening prayer delivered by Dale McIntyre, minister of the Cornerstone Community Church, about 100 people who were gathered on the courthouse lawn listened as American Legion Post Commander Robert (Bob) Mattson once again gave a concise but meaningful Memorial Day speech.
Before any of the 52 people attending Bethlehem Lutheran Church on the evening of Tuesday, May 20, could begin to assemble a Solar Light and phone Charger kit for Ukrainians, they were first introduced to an unvarnished look at how the war is affecting the Ukrainian people via a one-hour slide show hosted by Dave Nonnemacher, Director of New Horizon’s Foundation USA, a Romanian based organization.
